In response to this error... *** Error 70011 (OTH+11) License routines forcing premature code termination. Contact with the license server has been lost. The server may have died or a network connectivity problem may have occured. ... consider the following: The loss of contact with the license server could occur if we are not forking a separate thread to check the license while LS-DYNA is busy with computations on a different thread. Please assure that the environment variable LSTC_INTERNAL_CLIENT is set to forked (i.e., setenv LSTC_INTERNAL_CLIENT forked). The default setting is forked so if LSTC_INTERNAL_CLIENT is not set then we are already getting the desired value. Note that this environment variable applies to all platforms. If you are setting the environment variables in the LSTC_FILE then please assure the setting #LICENSE_CLIENT: fork. Documentation for the license manager can be downloaded from the following link (if prompted, username=user, password=computer). http://www.lstc.com/download/lic/new_netnix_license *** OR *** You are most likely experiencing the problem on a cluster but the following, which applies mostly to laptops, etc., is included for completeness. If you see that LS-DYNA stops progressing for an unusual period of time before it terminates with the aforementioned message, then your machine is probably hibernating. We've seen that sort of thing many times. The LS-DYNA calculation does not keep the machine from hibernating. You would need to turn hibernation off in your machine settings/preferences.
