Updates to Volume I between January 29, 2024 and March 27, 2024

We describe in the following how Volume I of the DRAFT User's Manual has changed since the last DRAFT manual. We categorize the changes into New and Error Fixes and Clarifications. We exclude typo fixes and prosaic rearrangements from this document.

*ALE_STRUCTURED_MESH_REFINE: Added last sentence to description of IMIN, IMAX, JMIN, JMAX, KMIN, KMAX because this feature is supported for 2D.

*BOUNDARY_PRESCRIBED_MOTION: Updated DOF = -4, 8, and -8 for |CMO| = 2 on *MAT_RIGID or *CONSTRAINED_NODAL_RIGID_BODY. Updated VAD = 3 and 4 for |CMO| = 2. Updated Remarks 1 and 7 for |CMO| = 2.

*DATABASE_FSI: Added keyword option DR. Added second paragraph to the purpose.

*DEFINE_DE_BOND: Added MAXCN and BINARY to Card 1.

*DEFINE_DE_TEMP: New keyword.

*FREQUENCY_DOMAIN_ACOUSTIC_BEM: Added second sentence to Remark 17.

*FREQUENCY_DOMAIN_RANDOM_VIBRATION: Added SRANGE to Card 7.

*FREQUENCY_DOMAIN_RESPONSE_SPECTRUM: Added OPTION2 with the available option as MISSING_MASS_CORRECTION. Added Card 4 and renumbered subsequent cards. Added Remark 13.

*FREQUENCY_DOMAIN_SEA_SUBSYSTEM: Added PREF to Card 1.

*INCLUDE_STAMPED_SOLID_PART_SOLID_TO_SOLID: Added GENERAL keyword option. Rewrote Remark 2 to explain difference between the original algorithm and the algorithm with this option.

*INITIAL_DETONATION_GEOMETRY: Added HETYP = 1 and 2.

*INITIAL_VELOCITY_RIGID_BODY: Added to purpose that the velocities are either around the center of gravity or an arbitrary point. Removed restriction from variable descriptions.

*INTERFACE_COMPONENT_FILE: Added NDOF to Card 2.

*LOAD_BODY_POROUS: Added SIDTYPE = 2.

*LOAD_THERMAL_BINOUT: Added NIDOFF to Card 3.

*LOAD_EXTERNAL_VARIABLE: New keyword.

*PARAMETER: Added custom delimiter and replacement string. See the second paragraph of Remark 2.

*SECTION_BEAM: Added Card 2b.1.

*SENSOR_CPM_AIRBAG: Added TFIRE to Card 1.

Appendix H: Added ELFORMS 14 and 15 to the list of shell elements supported with IHVE = 1. This list is in 1b) under limitations. 

Appendix X: Removed the RFLAG = 1 subsection from the Outputting Data with *INTERFACE_SPRINGBACK_LSDYNA since this flag is now obsolete for multistage analysis. Rewrote the Deformation Gradient and Stress Update section to remove discussion of RFLAG = 1 and to discuss the current behavior.

Error Fixes and Clarifications

*ALE_MESH_INTERFACE: Fixed typos in the names of the files for NOWRT for the 1000s digit, P. 

*CONSTRAINED_JOINT: Added clarification in the last sentence of the caption of Figure 10-26.

*CONTACT_OPTIONS: Description of SFSBT had typos where A was used instead of B when referring to the various variables. IGNROFF = 3 on Card F is only supported for SMP.

*CONTROL_DYNAMIC_RELAXATION: Description of when to include Card 2a omitted IDRFLAG = 3 in the Card Summary.

*CONTROL_MPP_REBALANCE: Fixed type and default of THRES.

*CONTROL_OUTPUT: Fixed error in the meaning of the values of SPC2BND. The definitions were reversed.

*DATABASE_EXTENT_BINARY: Fixed description and default of THERM.

*DATABASE_PWP_FLOW: Added Remark 3.

*DEFINE_HAZ_PROPERTIES: Added GISSMO to the table in Remark 5.

*FREQUENCY_DOMAIN_RESPONSE_SPECTRUM: Added Remark 12.
